Full Gas Sprint Enduro Rd 3 Gallery 2

Round three of the 2016 Full Gas Sprint Enduro series took place at the beautiful Boyer Farm near Romney, WV.  For the weekend the property became home to a large amount of colorful trail tape running through sweeping grasstrack, multiple hillclimbs, a rugged rock garden and high speed trail runs. The event also doubled as the East Coast AMA ISDE Qualifier for riders looking to compete on club teams at this year’s ISDE in Spain.  Because of this the 2.5 mile CrossTest and 4.5 mile EnduroTest were laid out in an ISDE style. Rain prior to the races and overcast sky left the dirt hydrated for most of Saturday’s 6 tests (3 CrossTests and 3 EnduroTests).  By Sunday the sun baked away most of the moisture leading to some epic berm blasting, and in turn, dust showers.  You know the kind where you walk back to your vehicle thinking you got a nice tan and then it wipes off. After 2 days of racing and 12 special tests, Coastal Racing/Husqvarna’s Layne Michael topped the podium with his first ever Full Gas Sprint Enduro win. Ampro Yamaha’s Daniel Milner ran approximately 43 seconds off Michael’s pace to take 2nd overall. And rounding out the podium was KR4/Husqvarna’s Thad Duvall running 21 seconds behind Milner and 1:04 behind Michael. Trailjester/KTM/Edelmann’s Josh Toth finished 4th overall and 1st in ISDE qualifying. East Coast J Day Offroad series rippas Jason Klammer and Ben Kelley finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the ISDE qualification. Overall Results: 1. Layne Michael, 33:17.8 2. Daniel Milner, 34:01.8 3. Thad DuVall, 34:22.3 4. Josh Toth, 35:00.2 5. Cory Buttrick, 36:13.9 6. Broc Hepler, 36:33.0 7. Sam Evans, 36:58.7 8. Jason Klammer, 37:38.7 9. Craig DeLong, 37:54.4 10. Full Gas Sprint Enduro Rd 3 Gallery 3 (2015)

With the GNCC circuit packed in for it’s annual summer hiatus, taking a road trip out to Brazil, IN for Round 3 of the Full Gas Sprint Enduro seemed like a natural fit. We didn’t know exactly what to expect when we arrived at Staunton MX but we’d heard nothing but good things about Hoop’s new sprint enduro format. And let me tell you… it DID NOT disappoint. After battling back and forth all weekend, 2.624 seconds separated N-Fab AmPro Yamaha’s Daniel Milner from FMF/KTM’s Kailub Russell for the overall. Yes, that was 2.624 seconds for the win! “The weekend was awesome, the tracks were the most fun I have ridden here in the U.S so far, and the racing between myself, Kailub, and Ryan was awesome and would have made it not just interesting for us guys but everyone there and at home watching. —said Daniel Milner, overall winner The only rider able to take a special test win from Milner and Russell was Rockstar Energy AirGroup Racing’s Ryan Sipes who finished the weekend in a solid 3rd-place. KR4/FAR/Husqvarna’s Thad DuVall finished 4th for the weekend just over a minute behind Sipes. Ride MPS/Honda’s Layne Michael rounded out the top-five ahead of FMF/KTM’s Russell Bobbitt, Factory Beta’s Cory Buttrick, and AmPro Yamaha rider Jordan Ashburn. The top Amateur for the weekend was Lites A rider Triston Landrum who took an impressive 9th-overall finish. Mike Witkowski would round out the top-10 overall. 1. Daniel Milner 1:12:39.419 2. Kailub Russell 1:12:42.043 3. Ryan Sipes 1:13:15.313 4. Thad DuVall 1:14:21.258 5. Layne Michael 1:15:08.684 6. Russell Bobbitt 1:15:17.930 7. Cory Buttrick 1:15:41.960 8. Jordan Ashburn 1:16:02.729 9. Triston Landrum 1:17:12.900 *Top Amateur 10. Mike Witkowski 1:17:23.293 For more info on this series go to sprintenduro.com…

Malvern MX Loretta Lynns Area Qualifier Gallery 2

Stepping out on to the track for our first shoot of the year is always an intoxicating experience.  Engines buzzing around at 360°, families huddled by their motor homes, vans or trucks prepping for their moto and the ever present, exuberant voice telling us about today’s races over the loud speaker.  In some ways it feels like a million years have passed since the last race of the prior year and others like no time has gone by at all since we all gathered under the Ohio sky. Our 2016 campaign kicked off on familiar ground with a familiar event, the Malvern Motocross Loretta Lynn’s Mid-East Area Qualifier, where young and old, man and women will do battle for their shot at qualifying for the Loretta Lynn’s Regional Qualifier.  For some this will end up being just another fun day ripping at the track.  For others this will be the first stop on the road to the hallowed Loretta Lynn Ranch to participate in the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. You never know what kind of pranks Mother Nature is going to pull in early April in Ohio. This weekend was no exception. The air was frigid and at times the wind whipped around the hills chilling down to the bone. Some inclement weather left the earth snow covered, wet and muddy but thanks to the good people at Malvern MX the track remained in solid condition for racing. Riders traveled to Waynesburg, OH from across the continent to participate in this event. A few of the big winners include: BRANDON HARTRANFT (New Jersey) 1st/1st Open Pro Sport, 1st/1st 250A WESTEN WROZYNA (Ontario) 2nd/2nd Open Pro Sport, 2nd/2nd 250A DYLAN WALSH (Georgia) 1st/1st 250B, 1st/1st 450B, 1st/1st 450B Limited JAKE IMPENS (New Jersey) 1st/1st College (16-24) JACK…

Leatt GPX 6.5 Carbon Helmet

Leatt knows a thing or two about protection and this safety leader has put its considerable resources into a brand new offroad helmet.  The Leatt GPX 6.5 Carbon Helmet is perhaps the lightest and safest dirt bike helmet available. With 360-degree Turbine Technology and a host of other new features, this lid will change how we think about off-road helmets.  A true carbon fiber shell is strong and light, but Leatt made sure to make it as small as possible. It has the look of a downhill mountain bike helmet. The smaller size means increased comfort for long rides, but also less mass to manage in a crash. Leatt sprays the helmet shell with V-Foam, a multi-density material that absorbs heavy impacts. The Turbines are small discs between the comfort liner and the V-Foam, which allow for the helmet to shift slightly and absorb and deflect rotational energy and low-energy impacts. An integrated hydration port will make racers very happy. Colors: Red/Grey/White (shown), Silver/Grey Sizes: XS – XXL Retail Price: $599.00 Fore more info, leatt.com…

Moto 7: The Movie Trailer

Moto 7: The Movie Trailer

A film that rewrites the moto playbook, with the biggest jumps, the gnarliest tracks, and some of the most remote locations a motorcycle has ever touched. Experience Blake Baggett’s newly-developed El Chupacabra Ranch in Florida, one of the most gargantuan home tracks ever made, where Baggett and Ken Roczen enjoy a daily routine of riding light speed fast laps with an almost lackadaisical ease. Three miles away, Aldon Baker trains factory superstars Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musqin and Jason Anderson on a program fit for Seal Team Six. Then there’s the Smokey Mountains in Idaho, where the Sipes brothers Ryan and Justin go to feel the sweet serenity of a man, his motorcycle, and countless miles of natural single-track. All of these riders are taking moto to territories it has never seen, be that on the stopwatch or the trail map. There’s Colton Haaker, the Endurocross phenom whose bike-control and technical abilities are that of superhuman levels. Then of course, Justin Barcia, the exemplar of style on a motocross bike, the guy who defies logic and rides with an amount of panache and flamboyance that is shunned in professional motocross, yet somehow has climbed to the top of the sport. All of these riders and more make up the cast of MOTO 7, and help to make it the most ground-breaking motocross film ever. Starring: Blake Baggett, Ken Roczen, Billy Laninovich, Tom Parsons, Kris Foster, Ronnie Renner, Colton Haaker, Anthony Rodriguez, Ryan Sipes, Justin Sipes, Justin Barcia, Adam Enticknap, and more! Sponsored by: VP Racing Fuels, GEICO Motorcycle, Husqvarna, Pirelli, Motosport.com, Bell, Leatt, Rekluse Pre-Order the DVD or Blu-ray and receive a FREE MOTO 7 Poster, also enter to win over $10,000 worth of prizes including a Brand New 2016 Husqvarna FC350 at: www.MOTO-TheMovie.com TO ORDER VISIT: http://www.MOTO-TheMovie.com…
